Summerwine Cottages are part of a beautifully converted 17th century farmhouse, set in 6 acres of Pennine farmland, deep in the heart of 'Summerwine' country. The 3 holiday cottages and main farmhouse were sympathetically restored in the mid 1980's. They have continued to be very popular with ramblers, walkers and rural loving people who just want to 'get away from it all'. 
Granary Cottage has one upstairs double bedroom with separate shower room and toilet. The Lounge with wall lights and open plan staircase adjoins the dining/kitchen area and breakfast bar. Harvest Cottage has one upstairs double bedroom and one single bedroom together with a shower room and toilet. The Lounge is quite large with sizeable dinning table, dresser and access to Kitchen. Wall lights, pictures and feature staircase complete the home-from-home appeal.    

Winnow Cottage has two upstairs double bedrooms, one with adult sized bunk-beds. The separate toilet has a bath with head shower. The Lounge is sizeable with Hi-fi, electric fire and door to separate Kitchen/Dining room. Open plan staircase, wall lights and pictures help to create a cosy ambience. The Cottages are all self contained and are able to accommodate up to 4 adults. Each has access via patio doors to a lovely Rose garden, enclosed within a dry stone wall. 

 

Out and About:
The views across to the Northwest are stunning with the only adjacent building being our very own stables. Beautiful sunsets can be a talking point! Whilst we enjoy tranquility and stunning scenery, we cannot be considered to be cut-off. Pubs, restaurants and shops are only a short walk away and the local train station is a couple of bus stops away. Both the M1 and M62 motorways are approximately 12 miles away.    
 Shepley in one of the most quaint and picturesque villages in Kirklees and lies just 3 miles from the popular tourist attraction of Holmfirth as well as being just 3 miles from the famous 'Pie Village' of Denby Dale. These and other surrounding villages are well served by local transport. Public footpaths and bridleways are very close by if you want to leave the car with us.

Furnishings and decor are to a high standard and all cottages have TV, video, cooker, washer/dryer, microwave, iron, lounge suite and dining table, etc. Each has central heating, double glazing and ample off-road parking, as well as a telephone*. A cot, high chair and other items are available on request.
