The Steading now sleeps eight plus two extra - preferably children by
arrangement - we don't allow ten adults. The Steading also has new
french windows - leading onto decking and a new sauna suite. Heather
Cottage - now called Jonna's Cottage also has new french windows leading
onto decking. This cottage sleeps six - not 6/8
We also have The Farm House - sleeping four - a large cottage fully
refurbished and is the original Farm House at Wester Lix - being approx
200 years old - as is The Steading.
We also now have two more cottages at Wester Lix - Leabhainn Cottage -
sleeping six and Beech Cottage sleeping four.

Some 200 years ago Wester Lix was a farm and 2 of the properties date back to this time. It now provides an ideal location for a comfortable and peaceful retreat being located in a remote and secluded forest clearing, but at the same time within easy reach of nearby villages and local amenities and being less than 2 hours drive from Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Mains of Taymouth Cottages are by the picturesque conservation village of Kenmore nestled at the east end of Loch Tay amidst the finest scenery Scotland has to offer and where the famous River Tay starts its journey to the sea. We are surrounded by lovely walks and fishing is readily available in loch and river. Kenmore Golf Course is on our doorstep with reduced fees to residents and The famous taymouth Castle is just across the river. Activities abound from water sports and mountain biking to Highland Adventure safaris.

Our cottages are based around an 18^th century courtyard, there are 7 self catering cottages varying from cosy luxury 2 bedroom cottage to an extensive 5 STAR deluxe 5 bedroom with ensuite facilities, large secluded garden , sauna hut and Hot Tub. All the cottages are traditional stone built and tastefully modernised with full central heating, open fires , dishwashers and all other mod cons you would possibly need. The cottages are in a quiet private setting with easy access to the golf course and restaurant and everything the area has to offer.

Although Kenmore is an ideal base to explore Scotland we so many wonderful things to do and see on our doorstep you will not need to venture far.
