Rose's Cottage is designed and built from mellow local stone and is a spacious cottage for two. It is bright warm and comfortably furnished and very well equipped.

The cottage opens onto the ancient and lovely village green which is bounded by the same Cotswold stone houses, a ford and the Fox Inn next door where excellent food and ales may be obtained.

Yew Tree Cottage is a charming Cotswold stone period cottage, set in the beautiful village of Willersey which has frequently been a winner of the Bledisloe Cup sponsored by the Council for the Protection of Rural England.

Dating from approximately 1850, this is an ideal family retreat set behind a pretty front garden with mature trees and shrubs overlooking the attractive village green and duck pond. Mallards and their offspring can be seen waddling around the footpaths and settling in villagers’ gardens - a lovely sight.

Within a short stroll there are two local inns serving excellent food, a post office and a general store serving most needs including your daily newspaper and freshly baked bread and buns!

The cottage is within yards of open countryside and ideally placed to visit the surrounding Cotswold villages of Broadway (just over a mile away), Chipping Camden, Stow on the Wold and Stratford upon Avon (with the Royal Shakespeare Company theatre) is approximately 10 miles away. Artists, ramblers and cyclists will find plenty to see.

The accommodation retains much of the charm and character of the original building which has been modernised to provide complete comfort and convenience. All rooms have been decorated in keeping with the character of the cottage and have been very well furnished and equipped.

Sitting room - furnished with leather sofas and brocade soft furnishings with open log fire and exposed Cotswold stone walls. Television and video.

Dining room - a spacious room with pine dining table and chairs, Welsh dresser and attractive stone archway through to:

Kitchen - fully fitted in cream shaker style with deep white sink, with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine.

Conservatory - leading through to the garden.

 

First floor:

Bedroom 1 - with King sized wrought iron double bed. (Spare pull out bed for occasional use.) Television.

Bedroom 2 - with double bed and single bed.

Bedroom 3 - with twin beds.

Bathroom - large room with pine wood strip flooring with bath, over bath shower, wash basin and W.C.

Outside:

Attractive rear garden - with secluded lawn, patio and table with chairs.

Front garden - with two car parking spaces.
