Robert and Mandy are
proud to welcome you to their four luxurious, newly converted cottages which
have achieved a 5* ETC standard. Hembury Court is situated on their organic
farm in East Devon, on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, five miles from the
M5 and one mile from the famous thatched village of Broadhembury. This
tranquil location is an ideal place to get away from it all, yet is not far
from the coast, Dartmoor and Exmoor.
The interiors of the cottages have been completed by local craftsmen to a
very high standard, providing finishes of granite, oak and terracotta. All
cottages are furnished and equipped to ensure that your stay will be very
comfortable. The kitchens will satisfy the needs of a keen cook.
The four cottages sleep a total of 17people, Pockets sleeps 2, Poppys sleeps
4, Smart’s House sleeps 5 and Clew Park sleeps 6. Many of the full size
single beds can be converted to superking doubles giving flexibility to
sleeping arrangements.
In addition to the cottages Hembury Court has many additional facilities
including two new green oak barns. The 'oak cruck' barn, with its own fully
equipped kitchen, provides a large dining room for twenty-five people,
allowing groups and families to dine together. The 'South Oak Centre'
accommodates an eight seat hot tub, fitness suite and a large communal
lounge. There is also a gas barbecue with seating , veranda and a large
grassed lawn for croquet and games.

Higher Sellick Farm is a
former dairy farm situated peacefully in 11 acres in the middle of the
beautiful Devon countryside, with easy access to the wide sandy beaches,
surfing and rock pools at Widemouth Bay and Bude as well as to the dramatic
scenery of Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and Exmoor. Local wildlife includes hares,
barn owls, foxes, skylarks and badgers.
Poppy Cottage is a charming stone-built barn conversion with exposed beams
and full oil-fired central heating. It has three bedrooms – one double
4-poster, one twin (convertible to double on request) and one double bunk
room. There are 2 shower room/WCs (ensuite to the double bedrooms if
required).
The sitting room has a colour TV and video/DVD player. The dining room
seats 6 and the kitchen is fully equipped including 4-hob cooker with full
oven, fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Cots, highchairs and stairgates are
available on request.
Poppy Cottage has been awarded 4 stars by VisitBritain, who inspect us
annually.
We have a range of indoor activities in the various barns and stables
including table tennis, table football, junior snooker, a Scalextric layout,
model railway, huge indoor sandpit, basketball net and swings. Babysitting
can be arranged.

We ask all guests to avoid smoking inside the cottages. We welcome
well-behaved dogs by arrangement and have plenty of local walks.
Rates are from £40/night (min 2 nights), £215-265 low season and £265-£575
high season. Full weeks are Friday to Friday.
