Four tastefully converted stone built cottages beside an 18th Century farmhouse with outdoor heated swimming pool all situated on the flanks of Win Hill in the heart of the Peak National Park, with panoramic views over Hope Valley and across to Castleton with its famous Blue John caverns, superb walking from your doorstep with an extensive choice of routes, taking in high moorlands and grit stone edges, as well as easier rambles. For the less energetic, there is a wide choice of sightseeing opportunities which include Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall , Buxton Spa and many more......All cottages are tastefully decorated, are fully centrally heated and provided with bed linen, towels, crockery, cutlery, fridge freezer, TV, Video, microwave, electric cooker. The cottages are supplied with natural spring water.

Rose cottages support the 'old country cottage' theme through custom-made furnishing and fittings crafted from traditional materials.

Kitchens are fully fitted in solid oak and solid pine dining tables reflect the traditional theme evident throughout all the properties. Excellent facilities include automatic washing machines, fridge freezers and fitted gas ovens and hobs.

Opehlia is the middle of a row of 3 cottages. Its main features are:Sleeps 2-6, 3 Bedrooms, Master-en-suite

Ophelia is the largest of the holiday cottages with en-suite facilities as well as a main bathroom with separate bath and shower. Especially useful for accommodating the larger parties. It boasts a spacious hall with a twisting open tread pine stairway and exposed beams. The Ophelia is a special cottage.

Cornelia is an end cottage. Its features are:

3 Stone cottages graded 4/5 Stars around a private courtyard in centre of this highly acclaimed Peak District village, offering seclusion and peace.

All three cottage were totally upgraded in 2002 with little regard for expense; One, graded the maximum 5 Star  is three bedroomed, each bedroom having a spacious en-suite and is between 500 & 700 years old with Inglenook fireplace, mullioned windows and original beams exposed!  The other two cottages are one bedroomed, (one sleeping two with an en-suite, one sleeping three) with modern tasteful ambience. These two cottages have full sized bathrooms with showers over. They also have lovely and effective log effect stoves in the living room (Knowl has the open fire) All have fully controllable central heating, gorgeous real granite sinks, gloss worktops, leather suites, etc. Some limited outdoor seating area with flower borders. Most importantly housekeeping is our highest priority. In each cottage there are seven (!) personalised highly organised information folders, much praised, enabling guests to make the most of their stay.

Hartington is one of the most highly regarded villages in the Peak, famous for its creamery with shop selling genuine Stilton and other cheeses, geese pond, hall and fine old stone buildings. The River Dove is only a few hundred yards away.Wolfscote Dale and then DoveDale are downstream along an excellent riverside path.

There are numerous footpaths and bridle ways in the immediate vicinity, offering unrivalled walking in the best part of the White Peak. Also three cycle trails over lovely countryside within 3 miles.

Parts of the cottage date back 250 years but it has been re-furbished in 2002 and has all mod-coms! Gas central heating and open fire, large beamed sitting room with TV/Video and music centre.
The large kitchen/diner, fully equipted with gas cooker, fridge freezer, micowave and dishwasher.
 

Upstairs are two well proportioned rooms, 1 double with a cot and a twin room with outstanding views of Robin Hood Stride and beyond.

Thimble Cottage is a delightful country cottage standing in an idyllic position on the village green in this favoured Peak District village.

Fully refurbished Summer 2004 to a very high standard.
A well-equipped cosy cottage in peaceful and relaxing setting.  One minute walk to the Red Lion pub and the village shop is opposite.  Further shops and amenities available in nearby Tideswell.

Walks from the front door, including Monsal Dale and Litton Dale.  Many information books and leaflets provided at cottage.

Full gas central heating by radiators, plus gas fire in sitting room.
All costs of heating and electricity included in the price.
Also included in price is all bed linen and towels.
